Terms of Use
Clipstack: Clipboard History · Last updated 24 October 2026
In short: Clipstack is free, open-source software. You can use it for anything, the source code is under the MIT License, and it comes with no warranty.
Who provides Clipstack
Clipstack is made by Chiranjeeb Jena, an independent developer. By downloading or using Clipstack, you agree to these terms.
Licence
Clipstack is free to download and use, for personal or commercial work. Its source code is published under the MIT License, which lets you read, change and redistribute it under that licence’s conditions. If you get Clipstack from the Mac App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to that copy.
Your data
Your clipboard history belongs to you and stays on your Mac, or in your own private iCloud account if you turn on sync. How Clipstack handles it is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you copy and paste, including keeping sensitive information out of your history (use Ignored Apps or Pause Recording for that).
Updates
The direct-download version checks for updates and installs them when you allow it. The App Store version is updated through the App Store. Features may change or be removed between versions.
No warranty
Clipstack is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it, including lost data. Keep copies of anything important somewhere other than your clipboard history.
Trademarks
Mac, macOS, iCloud and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Clipstack is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
